Hot take maybe but Katniss aiming her bow at Peeta when he grabbed his knife after the rule change was revoked was a natural human response that most people would have in those circumstances, and it was Peeta's actions (immediately throwing his knife into the lake and telling her to kill him) that weren't normal

I am always gonna stand ten toes down on the take that Nona the Ninth is an essential novel in the Locked Tomb series. What a loss it would have been to get only half of it as Act One in the last book! To have no processing time for the horrors and the wonders of love that Nona provides, or the thematic resonance of every minor character's actions, before going into what I'm sure will be a chaotic climax! Nona's story—and Alecto's origin— is something that I am grateful to sit with and give all the attention it deserves.

Indie horror filmmaker Eddie Munson, high off his first big (underground but notable) success, knows the movers and shakers of the film world have their eyes on him.
They're just waiting to see if he was a one hit wonder before they open all the doors he's been trying to kick down.
His next upcoming film is his chance, his shot at finally making it. Of being like Rob Zombie and the other creators he looks up to that masterfully blended metal and horror.
This is his golden ticket.
The project starts off smooth. His last success has greased the wheels, and things fall into place faster than ever before.
He's got the best idea for this insane haunted house story, a true "mazes in mazes" type of deal with a queer twist. A real look at how a place can haunt a person just as easily as a ghost can.
Everything's going swimmingly--until one of his leads drops out the day they're due to start shooting.
No call no show's, and later, Eddie will find out the guy got a last second call back to be a contestant on one of those Love Island bullshit romance gigs (and laugh his ass off when the main love interest takes one look at Billy Hargrove and goes on a five minute rant about ugly mullets on national television) but right now?
He's fucked.
He's called in every favor he has for this film. Maxed out every credit card he owns, tapped every contact, got on his hands and knees and begged his rising star journalist best bud to help him market it. (Which Nancy agreed too, for way less cash than she should have.)
Eddie can't get anyone on the phone, much less find a replacement actor and the amazing place they rented, that is so dark and wonderfully eerie, is booked out the rest of the year as an AirBnB.
If he doesn't film now, he loses it all.
Cue the other lead, unknown theater actor Steve Harrington, watching his hair pulling, tire kicking, 'cursing and hopping while holding a toe' mental breakdown and asks why Eddie himself doesn't act in it.
"Just go full Kevin Smith man. Act and direct." He says, with an easy grin.
Jeff, Eddie's tried and true videographer, trades glances with Gareth and Grant (Eddie's long used special effects and makeup team, who double for about twelve other jobs because they're also his best friends and they're all in this together, make or break.)
"We don't really have a lot of other options." Gareth hedges. "You're already using me and Grant as background characters."
Eddie, hands fluttering around his face as though trying to wave away this entire situation, squeezes his eyes shut and lets out a pained hiss.
"Fine, fine!" He announces with the air of a man running towards a fire. "Fuck it, this is our one shot and so help me I will be shooting it!"
Steve politely hides a laugh with a cough.
"Chuckle all you want big boy, I'm going to tragically romance you so hard people will forget both of our characters actually live." Eddie snarls.
Steve, the handsome bastard, just winks.  "Looking forward to it."
Eddie blushes, but hides it with a surge of frantic energy, conveyed by lots of yelling and moving and getting the ball rolling.
Two days later, Steve would give the performance of a lifetime down on his knees, covered in a literal pound of fake gore, booty shorts and nothing else as he sobbed about how a lover could become a home. His hands clawed at Eddie's jeans before resting a tear stained face on a slim leg as he bent his body towards Eddie like it hurt to be away from him.
Eddie would later receive equal praise in his own acting during the scene, with the world and every reporter in it asking how he conveyed an otherworldly panic so beautifully throughout Steve's performance. What was he thinking, to evoke those expressions on his face?
The way his own pale hand, unmarred by blood and acting as a metaphor for the plot, would come to stroke Steve's cheeks.
Eventually he'd come up with a smooth polished answer that cheekily pleased his audience, but nothing would ever come close to the truth.
("Eddie I've known you since grade school." Jeff said that night, a scant few hours after they'd wrapped. "You can act man, but not like that."
Eddie made a wild "shut up" gesture, looking frantically over his shoulder before admitting; "You saw how close his face was to the prince of darkness!? I was seconds away from popping a boner next to his lips, in front of the 4K camera!”
Eddie bounced into Jeff’s face so he could hiss: “He fucking had his chin on my thigh, Jeff, and I am only a man. A mere mortal!"
"So we're gonna unpack all of that later." Jeff said finally, when he'd managed to get his mouth working and Eddie back out of his personal space. "But dude, we've talked about you calling your dick the prince of darkness."
Eddie flipped him off.)
One year later and critics named Corroded the best horror film of the year, praising the camera work, practical effects, and how there wasn't a soul alive who was surprised to hear Eddie and Steve were dating after their explosive on screen chemistry.
No one ever quite understood the prince of darkness jokes or why Steve mentioning it made Eddie blush, but that was a secret to find out later.
Today on WIP’s I have no intention of writing, indie horror movie AU!

Gaz who can’t help but lose himself in the taste of your sweet pussy, pressing breathy, open-mouthed kisses to your clit as his slender and deft fingers keep your plush thighs spread nice and wide for him.
Gaz who begs you to sit on his face, to smother him with the soft meat of your thighs while he devours your cunt - it is his favourite meal after all - and he can certainly support your weight.
Gaz who shares you with his Captain, just to show him how sweet your pretty little pussy is.
Gaz who murmurs sweet nothings into your flesh while he keeps your legs pinned, his tongue deep inside you despite your teary, overstimulated whines. You can take one more, darl, can’t you?
Gaz is a munch. Send tweet.

The most unrealistic part of season 3 of teen wolf wasn’t the alpha pack, or the sacrifices or anything.
It was that Stiles was a virgin.
Don’t start, I don’t mean like “oh he’s too hot not to have-“ no. You are trying to get me to believe Scott and Stiles have never hooked up? Stiles “wanna make out to see how it feels” Stilinski and Scott “I’m the hot girl” McCall have never tried anything together? Yeah, sure.
Even if we’re talking non ship wise- they just seem like the kind of best friends who just wouldn’t mind that. Like you ask them if it’s gay to kiss your homie, they’d say no.
I wholeheartedly believe they were each others first kiss, fight me.

i dont care what anyone says, when Rashawn Scott said:
"That's not fair. That's not fair. That's not fair at all. She just poured her heart out to us for the first time in forever, why would you say that to her? That's horrible Mama. I don't like that at all, I really don't,"
i was emotionally punched in the gut more than any dimension 20 moment aired thus far.

her performance in that whole episode made me feel more than any TV show or movie that I've seen. give her all the praise! give her all the awards! give her all the roles!

Dark was born from hatefulness and betrayal.
It's etched into his being. He was made to be evil and he put fear into anyone he came into contact with. He was made to be cold and heartless.
Often, people would walk to the other side of the road as they tried to avoid his gaze, if he was nearby. His voice is deep and intimidating. Echoing and harsh when he spoke with passion. He was able to put anyone on edge just by speaking to them. He was made to be the perfect villain.
A villain in a story that he knew nothing about.
So why did he have such a strong pull to protect? Such a strong need to love and to be loved? What few people he had, he fought for with every fiber of his being. Every day, he would make sure his loved ones were safe and protected. Even from himself.
The thought of hurting anyone repulsed him. He hated making people fear him despite being created for it. He could feel the guilt eat him up inside every time he did. He never showed it.
But.. his loved ones didn't seem to care about his voice. The way the edges of him would split into red and blue when he felt strongly about something. The way his voice would echo and distort when he was excited. They didn't care the way his laughs would be loud and off-putting, despite how much Dark hated it.
Wilford would only see Dark. His eyes crinkled at the ends, and he showed all of his teeth in an uncontrollable bout of laughter as the edges of him split, and his unpleasant voice would inhumanly echo around them.
Every day, Wilford would make it his mission to make Dark laugh or smile. He didn't care how vile Dark was made. How much of a monster he was created to be.
All Wilford could see was Dark.
And maybe that was enough for now.. maybe Dark wasn't purely a villain he was made to be.
Maybe he was just Dark.

u kno, I don’t think that people consider enough the possibility (and very high probability) that Snape wasn’t mean to student’s because he wanted to, but more so because he had to. Not saying they he was nice. That man sure as hell wasn’t nice, especially when reading from Harry’s point of view.
But let’s consider for a moment the objective circumstances: Severus Snape was a past Death Eater, who at 21-ish years old changed sides (something only Dumbledore knew to which extent and the reasons), and knew of the possibility of the Dark Lord coming back because Dumbledore told him, and anyone who listened honestly, that he didn’t believe Voldemort to be truly gone.
Now, Severus Snape knows that Harry Potter, this child who is the Dark Lord’s undoing, is alive and is coming to the school, as probably most of his contemporary schoolmate’s kids are also going, have been there a while and will come for various years after. Snape is still bound to Dumbledore by his promise to be a spy, and is bound to Voldemort by brand. And Dumbledore is highly suspicious shit is about to go down (which u kno, he was rights ‘cause even from the first year lil Harry started Going Through It™️).
Having that background: Severus Snape, Head of Slytherin, and presumed Death Eater (‘cause u kno, spy), who was never known to be openly warm nor kind, who was fiercely bullied and he retaliated when felt necessary, is supposed to seem impartial and nice to all of his students?
Morally, should he had been? Heck yeah. Any decent teacher and adult should.
Realistically, should he had been? Well, if he wanted his cover blown, sure. If he wanted all of the Death Eaters who had children in school questioning the hell out of him, yeah. If he wanted Voldemort suspicious of his alliance and current belief system (which would have been at odds with the Death Eater ideals), uh-huh. But that would have made for a lousy spy at best and disastrous war changing consequences at worst.
And let’s be really honest here: Dumbledore gave him the position as teacher, primarily because he wanted to use Snape as a spy. That was Dumbledore’s priority, not the teaching. Which is a little wild to think coming from a school headmaster, truly.
This theory (which personally extends from theory to canon, because that’s how being a spy works) does not excuse him from how his prejudice blinded him from seeing Harry for Harry and not James (but the case could be made that neither did Sirius, but that’s another topic). That was wild. However, at the same time, he looked out for Harry’s life.
Again, I’m not saying Severus was warm and nice and he certainly acted mean and cruel at moments, particularly with kids from the other three houses. I just think that was part of the tragedy. He had a role to play, he played it perfectly, getting himself branded as a coward and a traitor by the people closest to him. And because of him, they won the war.

Why do a lot of people talk about Crowley living in his car like it's something he's been doing since the end of s1? Did Neil confirm that and I never saw it? Shax still has questions about the flat during s2. It really only seems like he got kicked out of it in the last couple months. It doesn't seem like years to me. I also just don't think Hell is that competent.
"We know we failed to kill you with holy water last week, but we need you to vacate the flat and let your replacement use it."
See that right there is just too competent for Hell

there's something that really gets to my heart about both Debbie and Svetlana naming their kids after their shitty abusive fathers because "they had good qualities too" and still actively working to be better parents than they had as children but there's still a part of them that are those scared little girls who just wanted their dad to love them and protect them but they got let down over and over again and yET they still honor those shitty fathers and who they could have been with their children's names 😭

Love how you shamelessly hate Aang—I mean this totally as a compliment by the way! I’m so tired of seeing “I ship Zutara but I LOOOOVE Aang he’s a cinnamon roll baby!!!” and “you can like Zutara and also like Aang” and “it’s the WRITING that’s bad not Aang!” takes…ugh. Please. He’s a cartoon character and I don’t like him. That isn’t a crime. He’s boring at best and an entitled borderline abusive little shit at worst. I don’t like him! It’s so refreshing to read your blog, I don’t understand this fandom’s obsession with acting like he’s a real child we have to coddle
I don't understand it either. Then again, I will go to the mat to defend some pretty controversial characters, so who am I to judge (justice for Mr. Collins!) ? I don't mind that other people like him -some of my favorite people in the fandom like him- as long as they don't come after me for not liking him.
But yeah, the defense of him boiling down to "bad writing" always felt off. To me, bad writing is when the character suddenly takes actions that seem to come out of nowhere. Aang's actions in the back half of ATLA and into the comics and LoK track. They track very well with who he was even in the first season. Yes, he got worse as the series progressed, but the seeds were always there. I guess, if you want to make an argument for it being bad writing, you could talk about how his bad traits in the first half seemed to be setting up a growth arc that was abandoned in the second half. There's an argument to be made there, but it's not an argument that Aang's worst traits were OOC for him. I am not shocked at the kind of family Aang ended up having. I'm not shocked at how Kataang the couple turned out. I'm only shocked that Bryke managed to be that honest about Aang without realizing how awful he was.
